When an operation for starting a mail function in an MFP 100 is performed, device information of the MFP 100 is transmitted to a mail server 200. In response to this transmission, the mail server 200 extracts results of a search using the device information as a key, from a transmission/reception history of a mail stored in the mail server 200. The device information means information of a device for preparing a file to be attached to the mail made at the MFP 100. The mail server 200 transmits the extracted mail to the MFP 100 as the results of the search.
