Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of a crank shaft which can prevent the contact of a thrust face and a thrust washer of the crank shaft.SOLUTION: In a support structure of a crank shaft 11, a slide bearing 10 is arranged in an air space which is formed of a crank shaft support part 12a and a crank shaft support part 13a, and a journal part 11a of the crank shaft 11 is pivoted by the slide bearing 10. The slide bearing 10 comprises half-cut members 14 which are obtained by dividing a cylinder into two pieces in parallel with each other, a thrust washer 20 is arranged at least at one of the half-divided members 14 in an axial direction, the thrust washer 20 is formed into a circular shape, and a circumferential end 20b and a circumferential end 20c of the thrust washer 20 are formed while being separated from a mating face between a cylinder block 12 and a bearing cap 13 by a prescribed length D1 and a prescribed length D2.
