Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure for a steering shaft that can change the position of the steering shaft in a heat pipe and also can use the head pipe as an intake passage.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a support structure which supports a steering shaft 16 of a motorcycle 10, the support structure comprising a head pipe 3 and a pair of upper and lower support members 81, 82 fixed detachably to fitting seats 31, 32 formed at the heat pipe 3 and having bearings 71, 72, supporting the steering shaft 16 rotatably, fitted, and characterized in that the support members 81, 82 define a support position and a support attitude of the steering shaft 16 relative to the head pipe 3, the head pipe 3 comprises a cylindrical part 33 forming a shaft housing space 33a having a sectional area larger than the external diameter of the steering shaft 16, and travel air flows in the internal space of the head pipe 3 from the front side to the rear side during a travel of the motorcycle 10, the cylindrical part 33 having such an external diameter that a vertically intermediate part of the head pipe 3 becomes smaller toward both vertical ends.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
