Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a supporter for photographic printing paper whereby a picture contrast can be improved with good adhesion between a paper base body and a waterproof resin layer and good whiteness of raw material while excellent in water resistance.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of a photographic printing paper supporter where waterproof resin coating layers 3, 5 are provided in both surfaces of a paper base body 4, the waterproof resin coating layer in at least a side of applying an emulsion 1 is the two or more layers of waterproof resin coating layers 2, 3 and also an amount of fluorescent whitening agent, contained in water resisting resin of the uppermost layer in the waterproof resin coating layer, is larger than the amount of fluorescent whitening agent contained in the other layer.
