To provide a lithographic printing master plate which yields a lithographic printing plate having excellent printing durability and is free from printing defects, and to provide a supporting body for a lithographic printing master plate suitable for a lithographic printing master plate.
This supporting body for a lithographic printing master plate is produced by coating both surfaces of a raw paper sheet with a polyolefin resin. The raw paper consists of polyamide polyamine epichlorohydrin and at least one of a higher fatty acid and a higher fatty acid salt, and has ≤5 mm klemm water absorption degree (after three hours) according to JIS P8141. It is preferable that the raw paper further contains calcium chloride. The ligthographic printing master plate consists of a supporting body having >1×1010 Ω.cm volume specific resistance, a conductive layer having ≤1×106 Ω.cm surface specific resistance and formed on the supporting body, and a photoconductive layer containing zinc oxide and formed on the conductive layer.
