Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device for a crankshaft, capable of reducing the amount of leakage oil regardless of the type of the crankshaft.SOLUTION: A supporting device 1 for a crankshaft 2 in one embodiment of this invention includes a cylinder block 3, a cap 4 fastened to the cylinder block 3, and a main bearing 10 supporting a journal part 2a of the crankshaft 2 in a shaft hole 5 formed by the cylinder block 3 and the cap 4. It further includes seal parts 30 as sites for narrowing clearances between each of the cylinder block 3, the cap 4, and the crankshaft 2, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
