Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow a low skilled circuit designer to design a circuit as well as a skilled circuit designer by obtaining a electronic circuit with the aid of design knowledge stored based on an inputted requested specification. CONSTITUTION:The requested specification inputted by the designer is stored by a requested specification storage device 1. The stored requested specification is collated with a design knowledge storage device 3 which stores the know how of the designer who designs the circuit as a rule by an inference means 2 and the electronic circuit which should be used by the designer is obtained from an electronic circuit storage device 4. As the result of the inference, the obtained electronic circuit is displayed to the designer by an electronic circuit display device 5. The know how of a specialist is described in the rule of 'If (condition part), (operation part).' For example, the one of the knowledge in designing the electronic circuit is described as follows, 'If (the time within 10mmsec is required for the operation speed), use the block A of the electronic circuit.'.
