To provide a supporting frame for packaging in which both upright side plates can be surely held in a specific upright state as a packaging supportering frame, and in such a condition that the frame is taken out of a packaging box, a handling work such a transportation work can be performed safely and easily.

There are provided a bottom plate 10 and side plates 12, 12 which are formed from synthetic resin expanded sheets and the plates 12, 12 are provided so as to be folded about hinges 11 provided at the opposed side edges of the plate 10 respectively, and a connection member 2 is provided which can be inserted and fixed to the side plates 12, 12, in an upright state, at an area other than an item storage area to connect the upright plates 12, 12. The member 2 is formed from a planar material and an engaging part is provided on at least one of the opposite ends of the member 2 in the longitudinal direction and the member 2 is formed so that the width is made gradually smaller toward the end thereof so that it can be inserted into a slit-shaped insertion hole 3 formed at a part between the item storage areas of the plates 12, 12.
