Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a suporting method capable of forming a photocatalyst bed having durability on the surface of a base material with good workability without damaging photocatalytic activity.
CONSTITUTION: Titanium dioxide particles 2 are formed by flocculating primary particles of about Φ10-30nm and baked at 500-800°C so as to be brought to an anatase type. Fluoroplastic fine particles 4 of about Φ10-20nm are applied to the primary particles positioned on the outer edges of titanium dioxide particles 2 by a PVD method to be fused thereto to form a photocatalyst 1. In a supporting method for forming a photocatalyst bed 5, a primer layer 7 having good compatibility with respect to the fluoroplastic fine particles 4 is applied to a base material 6 and the photocatalyst 1 is dispersed on the surface of the primer layer and heated to be supported on the base material 6 by using the fluoroplastic fine particles 4 forming the photocatalyst 1 as a binder.
