PURPOSE: To avoid resonance during the acceleration of a train by supporting a superconducting magnet by using a nonlinear spring in a superconducting magnetic levitation train system.
CONSTITUTION: A load support plate 7 is used as a member for supporting and fixing a superconducting magnet 4. The superconducting magnet 4 is supported and fixed to an external tank 3 by the load supporter 7. A belleville spring 10 is installed between the load supporter 7 supporting the superconducting magnet and the external tank 3, thus forming a structure supporting the superconducting magnet 4. A spring having a sectional shape is employed as the belleville spring 10. Consequently, the shape of the belleville spring is determined by the inside diameter, thickness and height of the pan, but these parameters are decided so that the quantity of deformation to load is changed in a nonlinear manner. When a structure in which the superconducting magnet is supported by employing such a nonlinear spring is formed, the rigidity of the spring alters with the receiving of vibrating force by the superconducting magnet and the resonance of the superconducting magnet and the increase of amplitude, thus avoiding resonance.
