Abstract:
To reduce the number of parts used and improve ease of assembly by simplifying the construction of a differential device used in an automobile.
For the accommodation of a differential device 1 installed on a differential carrier 2 in an axle housing 3 and the support of a differential side bearing cap 7 on the axle housing 3, the contact surface between the axle housing 3 and the differential side bearing cap 7 is formed into inclined surfaces 3b, 7b. The inclined surfaces 3b, 7b make it possible to conduct easy and complete positioning at the time of assembly.
