Title:
SUPPORTING STRUCTURE FOR LIQUEFIED GAS TRANSPORT TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06337100
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To allow for the thermal deformation of a tank itself before and after filling liquefied gas by closely supporting the tank within a ship's hull on the upper surface of a base section laid on a ship's inner bottom via a slide member fitted to the lower surface of the tank, and causing the slide member and the base section to give slide motion.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of base sections 8 are arranged on a ship's inner bottom, and a slide member 7 projected from the lower surface of a tank via a slide member mounting means 12 is laid on the upper surface of the sections 8 in close contact state. The means 12 is fastened to the lower surface of the tank and formed out of an angled mounting frame 13 allowing the insertion of the member 7 from a lower side, and a crank-shaped strip mounting member 14 having one end led through the insertion hole 20 drilled through the side of the member 7 horizontally and other end jointed to the lower surface of the frame 13. According to this constitution, the slide member 7 becomes slidable on the base sections 8 due to the engagement of the member 14 with the hole 20. At the same time, thermal deformation is allowed for due to the elastic deformation of the member 14.
