Title:
SUPPORTING STRUCTURE OF OPTICAL INTEGRATED CIRCUIT FOR OPTICAL-INTERFERENCE ANGULAR VELOCITY METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07120268
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent an error from being caused in the output of an optical- interference angular velocity meter due to a change in refractive index due to the thermal strain of an optical integrated circuit in which an optical waveguide has been constituted in order to branch and couple light to be supplied to an optical fiber coil constituting a ring inteferometer.

CONSTITUTION: An optical integrated circuit 30 is fixed to a reinforcement plate 50 which is composed of an electro-optical crystal which is the same as an electro-optical crystal constituting the optical integrated circuit or of a material whose coefficient of thermal expansion is nearly identical to that of the electro-optical crystal. The reinforcement plate 50 is fixed elastically to a support structure 10 for a ring interferometer with an elastic adhesive 51.
