Abstract:

To reduce a load imposed on a shaft and prevent the breakage of the shaft.

The supporting structure of a package tray 10 for supporting the package tray 10 provided in a luggage compartment 30 of a vehicle to be rotatable relative to a shelf 33 includes: a hinge pin 32 provided on one of the package tray 10 side and the shelf 33 side and extending along the rotary shaft of the package tray 10; an accommodation groove 21 provided on the other of the package tray side and the shelf side for supporting the hinge pin 32; and an extension groove 22 extending on the accommodation groove 21 and allowing the hinge pin 32 to escape in the direction to reduce a predetermined load when the predetermined load less than the elastic limit is imposed on the hinge pin 32.
