Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device having a balanced-type/unbalanced type transformation function whose balance performance is improved and a communication apparatus using the same.SOLUTION: Each comb type electrode part 2, 1, 3 of a longitudinal coupling resonator type having a balanced-type/unbalanced type transformation function is provided on a piezoelectric substrate 8 along a propagation direction of a surface acoustic wave. At least one of the comb type electrode parts 2, 1, 3, for instance, among each electrode finger 21, 22 of the comb type electrode part 2, the electrode finger 21 near a region facing the comb type electrode part 1 is provided with a crossover weighted electrode finger 22a to which a weighting such as crossover weighting is applied.
