Title:
SURFACE ELECTRODE DESIGN THAT CAN BE LEFT IN PLACE DURING MR IMAGING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013119034
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a plurality of surface electrodes such as an ECG or a defibrillator, capable of remaining in proper positions during MR imaging.

The surface electrode includes a quick disconnect wire for carrying a signal to a signal processing system to be removed during the MR imaging so as to prevent heat from being generated. Each electrode includes a conductive layer divided by slits into separate adjacent portions so as to reduce an eddy current induced inside the surface electrode when the surface electrode is exposed to an RF pulse or the variation of a magnetic field. All the portions are connected to a conductive position through the layer so as to allow the signal to be connected to a transmission conductor.
