Abstract:
To provide a surface hydrophilizing agent which is hardly removed from a base material even if it contacts with water, and can form a coating excellent in hydrophilic performance on the surface of the base material.
The surface hydrophilizing agent contains a (meta)acrylic polymer obtained by polymerizing a silicon atom-containing monomer expressed by a formula (I), (in the formula, R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R2 is a 1-6C alkylene group; R3, R4 and R5 are each 1-4C alkyl group or a 1-4C alkoxy groups, at least one of the groups denoting a 1-4C alkoxy group; and X denotes an oxygen atom or a -NH- group), and a monomer having a quaternary ammonium salt at a side chain.
