To provide a surface light-emitting device in which its downsizing is realized, in which generation of brightening of only the vicinity of a light source, or a so-called an eyeball is prevented, and in which homogeneous surface light emission in an effective light-emitting area is realized.
This is the surface light-emitting device 10 equipped with a linear light source device in which a plurality of light emitting elements 123 are arranged on a lengthy wiring substrate 121, an FPC to conduct and connect the linear light source device and an exterior power supply, a light guide plate 13 in which light from the light-emitting element 123 is emitted as the illumination light, and a frame like case in which the light-emitting face of the linear light source device is housed in the side face of the light guide plate 13 in the opposing state. The linear light source device is conducted and connected to the FPC via a terminal 126 as a power supply terminal formed on a face which becomes the light guide plate 13 side of the wiring substrate 121.
