Title:
SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE AND PRODUCTION OF ITS LIGHT TRANSMISSION PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3305391
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain uniform surface brightness without decreasing the brightness of a light source and to improve a packaging property by forming recessed parts 3 of the depth increasing in depth as being separated further from a light source on at least one surface of the front and rear surfaces of a light transmission plate.
CONSTITUTION: The many recessed parts 30 are formed on the front and rear surfaces of the light transmission plate 24. The recessed parts 30 are so formed that the depth thereof increases gradually as being separated further from the incident and face existing on the line-shaped light source 28 and that the projection area in the direction orthogonal with the direction increases gradually as being separated further from the incident end face. As a result, the recessed parts 30 are so arranged that the depth thereof increases as being separated further from the light source 28 and that the projection area in the direction orthogonal with the input direction from the light source 28 increases as being separated further from the incident end face when the light from the light source 28 disposed on the one end side of the light transmission plate is made incident and therefore, the reflection frequencies increase in the remote distance position from the light source 28 where the light intensity decreases. Consequently, the surface intensity of the uniform brightness in the state of maintaining the light intensity of the light source 28 is obtd.
