Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a drawback of the brightness decay, depending on the distance from a light source, even if a light condensing sheet is laminated on a light guide plate surface, in an edge-light type surface light source.
SOLUTION: A group of minute projections, with the height of unevenness equal to or longer than the wavelength of the light from a light source, are formed on the back side of an isotropic light diffusing sheet, disposed between a lens sheet such as a lenticular one and the light guide plate. Then the isotropic light diffusing sheet is laminated on the smooth surface of the light guide plate of the edge-light type surface light source, whereby a gap equal to or larger than the wavelength of light from the light source is formed between the light guide plate surface and the isotropic light diffusing sheet.
