PURPOSE: To enhance liquid permeability, a liquid return preventing property and a dusting preventing property, by using a perforated hydrophobic sheet having an open area ratio of a predetermined range value and a predetermined range of a pore size.

CONSTITUTION: A perforated hydrophobic sheet having an open area ratio of 35% or more and a pore size of 0.05W0.64mm is used as a surface material of a sanitary article. As the constitutional material of the perforated hydrophobic sheet, for example, paper, nonwoven fabric, fabric or knitted fabric composed of a hydrophobic fiber, a film or foam composed of a hydrophobic resin and a metal sheet are used. In order to develop a sufficient dusting preventing property even when the movement of a wearer is violent, the pore size is pref. 0.52mm or less and more pref. 0.44mm or less.
