Title:
SURFACE MOUNTED CRYSTAL VIBRATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10209796
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To easily assemble a crystal resonator with a small number of components by opening one length-directional flank of a case with a cavity, providing an opening part where lead terminals of a cylindrical crystal vibrator are led out on one width-directional flank, and providing an elastic member which holds the cylindrical crystal vibrator in the case.

A plug, having external lead terminals to which a crystal vibrating piece, is connected electrically so that it can vibrate is pressed in a cylindrical cap 3 of albata, which is sealed airtightly. A holder 2 is made of phosphor bronze and consists of a reinforcing plate of a base part and a holder piece, having a recessed part and an engagement piece for pressing the cap 3 extending from it to both the sides. The holder 2 is inserted into the cavity from an upper opening of the case 1 made of ABS resin and fixed to an internal projection part, and the reinforcing plate of the holder 2 is fixed to the projection part. Consequently, the cap 3 is clamped in the holder 2 to make the vibrator small-sized and low-priced and moreover to enable high- precision assembly.
