Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a surface-mounting coil to be easily lessened in cost, size, and weight by a method wherein recesses are provided to a magnetic core, and flat plate-like terminals are fixed to the recesses.
CONSTITUTION: Winding sections 11 which a winding wire 2 is wound on are provided to a core 1 of magnetic material such as ferrite. Recesses 5 are provided to the core 1 apart from the winding sections 11. Flat plate-like terminals 4 are fixed to the recesses 5 by adhesive agent. Ceramic coating agent is used as adhesive agent. The opposed recesses 5 are formed so as to communicate with each other, and the opposed flat plate-like terminals 4 are arranged in the opposed recesses 5 separate from each other by a prescribed space. The opposed flat plate-like terminals 4 are collectively bonded. By this setup, a surface-mounting coil which is capable of dispensing with a conventional base part, being simplified in manufacturing process, and being lessened in size and cost can be obtained.
