PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate surface processing method that allows a unique design where inherent material feeling of the substrate and artificial impression of a coating material are integrally fused.SOLUTION: The substrate surface processing method includes: a coating application process of applying at least two or more coating materials in laminate on the substrate 1 having an irregular surface; and a grinding step of grinding a projection part 21 of the substrate 1 applied with the coating materials to expose the substrate 1 to the outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
