Abstract:

To provide a surface protective film which meets requirements of good handling properties, e.g. blocking properties, good heat resistance and a wide variety of processing characteristics, e.g. cutting properties, compared with conventional methods.

The surface protective film has a three-layer or higher form comprising an adhesive layer, a back layer and a middle layer. The adhesive layer is composed of an ethylene--olefinic copolymer of a density of 0.910-0.925 g/cm3. The back layer comprises 90-99 wt.% of a propylene type resin and 10-1 wt.% of a low-density polyethylene. The middle layer is based on a polyolefinic resin different from those constituting the adhesive and back layers.
