Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the surface reforming method of aluminum, aluminum oxide or aluminum hydrate to a fluorine compd. as the passive surface excellent in resistance to chemicals and corrosion.

CONSTITUTION: A compd. 5 contg. at least fluorine element is arranged on the surface of a substrate 4 consisting of aluminum, aluminum alloy or aluminum oxide and aluminum hydrate. A laser beam or a beam 2 of shorter wavelength than the UV region is projected from the compd. side to reform the substrate surface to a fluorine compd. Consequently, the specified region on the surface of aluminum, aluminum oxide or aluminum hydrate is reformed to the fluorine compd. excellent in resistance to chemicals and corrosion.
