Abstract:
To provide a surface reinforced steel which has a self-recovery surface layer with such sufficient hardness and thickness that a practical compressive residual stress can be imparted to a steel material by shot peening, and has a high corrosion-resistant function, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.
The surface reinforced steel with the high corrosion-resistant function is a corrosion-resistant steel material having the surface layer 2 on the surface of a base metal 1, which has a higher Al concentration than the base metal 1, and having the surface imparted with the compressive residual stress.
