Abstract:
PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten an optical system and to extend the image range to be corrected by providing a motion vector detecting means and a moving means, which displaces an image pickup element along a plane perpendicular to the optical axis of a photographic lens in accordance with the quantity of a motion vector, and correcting the surface shake. CONSTITUTION:The output video signal of a camera circuit 3 is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converting circuit 4 and is supplied to a Y/C separating circuit 5 to separate a Y signal. This separated Y signal is supplied to a motion vector detecting circuit 6, and the motion vector of an image, namely, the extent and the direction of surface shake of the image are detected by this Y signal. A correction control circuit 7 controls and drives motors 12 and 13 through a driving circuit 8 in accordance with the detected motion vector quantity, and servo is applied to the optical system or an image pickup element 2 so that the motion vector quantity is 0. Consequently, an angle sensor, a gimbals mechanism, or the like is obviated, and the correction range of surface shake is extended, and the device can be miniaturized and lightened, and the cost can be reduced.
