Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an Al material having corrosion resistance, adhesion to a coating film and fine appearance and preventing discoloration by measuring the color tone of an Al material during surface treatment and calculating the proper value without carrying out surface treatment in accordance with experience and perception.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of an Al material is treated with a treating soln. contg. a chelating agent, org. amines, a prescribed amt. or less of sulfuric acid radicals and a prescribed amt. or less of phosphoric acid radicals until the color tone S satisfies S=(X2+(3.388Z-3Y)2)1/2 ≥70. When this treatment is carried out as pretreatment for other anticorrosive treatment, more effective treatment is attained.
