Abstract:
To provide a surface-treated steel having excellent corrosion resistance in corrosive environments such as alkaline corrosive environments, seawater corrosive environment, city water corrosive environments, high temp. wetting corrosive environments, soil corrosive environments, air corrosive environments.
An alloy coating layer obtd. by incorporating zinc, aluminum or manganese whose potential is baser than that of steel and an alloy consisting essentially of these metals with one or more kinds of Mg and In by 0.05 to 10 wt.% is formed on the surface of a steel by the thickness of 0.05 to 500 μm. Furthermore, the surface-treated steel is subjected to anode electrolytic treatment in a soln. of pH ≥10.5.
