Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a surface-treated steel plate which is suited as a steel plate for automobiles, by applying a sacrificial corrosion preventive plating layer on the other surface of a steel plate having a sacrificial corrosion preventive plating layer and an Fe or Fe-Zn alloy plating layer thereon on one surface. CONSTITUTION:Two layers of plating consisting of a sacrificial corrosion preventive plating layer as the 1st layer and an Fe plating layer or an Fe-Zn alloy plating layer contg. <=85% Zn as the 2nd layer are applied on one surface of a steel plate. On the other hand, a sacrificial preventive resistant plating layer is applied on the other surface of the steel plate. The one surface of the surface treated steel plate obtained in such a way has the paintability equal to the paintability of a cold-rolled steel plate, and is superior in resistance to pitting corrosion and point corrosion to a cold rolled steel plate. The other surface is superior in the resistance to pitting corrosion. Such surface treated steel plate is thus used for automobiles with the two layered plating side of said plate faced on the outside and the single layered plating side on the inside.
