Title:
SURFACE-TREATED STEEL SHEET EXCELLENT IN RESISTANCE TO CORROSION AND ALKALI
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3271240
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface-treated steel sheet highly resistant to corrosion and alkali without incorporating chromium (VI) into the film.
SOLUTION: A film of the high molecular chelating agent having a chelating group in an org. high molecular matrix and having the chelating group contg. at least one sulfur atom is formed on the surface of a galvanized or aluminized steel sheet. A dense protective film layer is formed by the chemisorption or reaction of the chelating group on the plating film surface, the chelating group reacts with the metal ion eluted from the plating film when the film is formed, and excellent resistance to corrosion and alkali is obtained.
