Abstract:
To provide a surface treated steel sheet capable of controlling generation of sulfidation black discoloration while considering stannous oxide and stannic oxide.SOLUTION: The surface treated steel sheet has a steel sheet, a tin plating layer formed on the steel sheet and a chemical coating formed on the tin plating layer and containing practically no chromium, and having current density ratio of current density I1 at a potential showing a reaction of stannous oxide (SnO) after subjected to a heat treatment equal to coating galling to a sum of I1 and current density I2 at potential showing a reaction of stannic oxide (SnO2), (I1+I2), of less than 0.36 in a measurement using an anode polarization.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
