Title:
SURFACE-TREATED THICK STEEL PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0578881
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of harmful fumes and to impart corrosion resistance without deteriorating its cuttability and weldability by forming a nickel plating layer on the surface of a steel plate and applying primer coating material as surface preparation thereon. CONSTITUTION:Nickel plating is applied to the surface of a steel plate. The nickel plating does not deteriorate the cuttability and weldability of the steel plate. Before the application of the nickel plating, scales are preferably removed away by shot blasting or pickling. To the surface of the nickel plating, as surface preparation, primer coating is applied. The primer prevents the sticking of sputtering at the time of welding. The steel in which the generation of harmful fumes is suppressed and having corrosion resistance can be supplied.
