Title:
SURFACE TREATMENT OF METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56123398
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To impart hardness and self-lubricity and improve abrasion resistance by forming a porous anodic-oxidation film on the surface of Al, then impregnating a granular lubricant using a synthetic resin as a binder thereby sealing the surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of parts made of Al or Al alloy is anodized under high chemical conversion voltage, whereby a porous anodic oxidation film 11 of large unevenness is formed. Next, a layer 12 consisting of ''Teflon '' which is one kind of fluorine resins as a synthetic resin, as a binder and MoS2 13 of 0.2mum average sizes as a granular lubricant is impregnated in the rugged porous parts of the anodic oxidation film. This yields the surface which is superior in the self- lubricity by MoS2, is high in the hardness by the oxide film and is superior in abrasion resistance.
