Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely apply a surface treatment of desired shape on a surface of an edge part by applying the surface treatment on the surface of the edge part while maintaining a state in which an electrode protrudes from an edge of a material to be treated by a small amount.
SOLUTION: In this surface treatment, an electrode 3 is scanned along an edge while maintaining a state in which the electrode 3 protrudes slightly from an edge of a material to be treated 1 to form an improved layer 4 in an edge part. At this time, an amount of protrusion of the electrode 3 is, for example, 20 to 100 micron. By scanning the electrode while keeping the amount of protrusion thereof to about 20 to 100 micron in this way, it is possible to form the improved layer without slackening the edge and forming a non-treated region.
