Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic material that is remarkably excellent in heat- exchanging ability and steam condensing ability as compared with the conventional material by reforming a highly heat-conductive metallic material to have an ideal surface form for heat exchange and water condensation.
SOLUTION: An extremely fine groove structure which accelerates water condensation or heat transfer is formed on the surface of the metallic material composed of Al, an Al alloy, Cu, an Cu alloy, etc., by treating the material by bringing an oversaturated aqueous solution of a metal fluoride into contact with the material.
