To provide a surface treatment method for vehicular wheels capable of forming a wheel pattern surface without causing a crack and a chip of a coating film in a boundary between a bright surface and a color coated surface.
This surface treatment method for a vehicular wheel 1 forms a desirable bright surface X1 in a wheel pattern surface 9 before coating, eliminates the coating by irradiating CO2 laser to a predetermined part after the coating so as to expose the bright surface X1. A boundary can be formed sharp without generating a crack and a chip in the coating film which is not eliminated in the boundary between the predetermined part wherein the coating film is eliminated. The wheel pattern surface 9 structured of combination of the bright surface X1 and the color coated surface Y1 thereby exhibits excellent pattern, and such a wheel pattern surface 9 can be obtained relatively easily.
