Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a beautiful casting with high accuracy in a short treatment time, by using a fluorine solvent as a solvent for treating the surface of a wax pattern for casting.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a wax pattern to be used for a lost wax method is treated with a solvent consisting essentially of a fluorine solvent. The solvent consists of, for example, about 80W95wt% a fluorine solvent such as trichlorofluoromethane and about 20W5wt% alcohols. The treatment time by the solvent is about 2W20sec and the surface treated by the same is substantially uniform. The treatment time is faster than in the prior art and the drying after the treatment is used, the casting having high accuracy and a beautiful surface is manufactured.
