A surfactant composition mainly contains a compound to be represented by formula (1) (wherein RB3, RB4, and RB5 are each H or a substituent; A and B are each F or H; nB3 and nB4 are each 4-8, LB1 and LB2 are each an alkylene group or an alkyleneoxy group; mB is 0 or 1; and M is a cation), and has an electrical conductivity in a 1 mass% aqueous solution of 150-750 μs/cm.
