Title:
SURFING BOARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6417672
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the bending strength and compression strength to prevent the flawing or cracking by inserting a number of lines of beams of an expanding fabric hardened with a resin in the longitudinal direction of the core body of a board. CONSTITUTION: In an expanding fabric 1 formed of a weft double fabric, surface and reverse plain weave fabrics are bonded and integrated by a bonding yarn 6 in the warp 4 direction passing a point A, and no bonding yarn is used in a point B, so that the surface and reverse plain weave fabrics can be separated every single layer. By use of, for example, glass roving as the warp 4, a weft 5 and the binding yarn 6, the warp and the weft are woven, and the binding yarn is inserted thereto. The surface and reverse fabrics not connected by the bonding yarn are vertically separated after weaving to insert a number of cores, and then hardened by impregnation with an epoxy resin. The cores are then pulled out, and the resulting fabric is cut into a necessary dimension to provide a core material for board. Further, the core material is properly treated, whereby a surf board is completed.
