In case that excessive surge voltage above tolerance is applied to first and second surge absorbing elements Z11 and Z12 through the high frequency lines 20, 30, and 40 of an electronic apparatus and at least one hand of the said first and second surge absorbing elements is broken and it gets in short circuit condition, a current flows from a bias power source to the first and second light emitting elements P11 and P12 of the first and second surge absorbing circuits 101 and 102 that the said first and second surge absorbing elements having short-circuited belong to, so they emit light. By this light emission, the manager of the electronic apparatus can recognize the short circuit condition of the first and second surge absorbing elements Z11 and Z12 immediately, so he can easily restore this electronic apparatus to the original condition.
