Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a surgical catheter having the capability of performing general aspiration, aspiration at a restricted part and tissue coagulation.
CONSTITUTION: An inner tube 11 more slender than an outer tube 12 is inserted therein in such state as freely slidable back and forth. The end of the inner tube 11 normally does not protrude from the end of the outer tube 12, and body liquid or the like is sucked, using many aspiration holes 12a drilled through the end of the tube 12. For liquid aspiration or tissue coagulation at a restricted part, the end of the tube 11 is projected externally from the tube 12, and liquid at the restricted part is sucked through an aspiration hole on the end of the slender inner tube 11. Also, the projected end of the inner tube 11 is kept close to lesion and used for tissue coagulation, hemostasis or the like. Furthermore, the inner tube 11 can be detached from the outer tube 12.
