Title:
SURGICAL SAW-BLADE END DEVICE FOR HOLDING SURGICAL SAW-BLADE FOR RECIPROCATING TYPE SAW
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3537858
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a locking action in the axial and diametric directions with a conduct of an automatic centering for saw-blade in a saw-blade holding device of a saw for the sternum.
CONSTITUTION: The saw-blade holding device 10 has a shaft 32 reciprocatably coupled to the saw, and the shaft 32 has a slit 46 for receiving the saw-blade 48. The shaft 32 arranges a chuck 66 around the shaft. In the lock-releasing position, the slit 86 of the chuck 66 orientates in a row with the slit 46 so as to be able to arrange the saw-blade 48 into the slit 46. By means of cam type mechanisms 80, 90, the chuck 66 may rotate until the locking position against the saw-blade 48 and shaft 32, at the same time, the chuck 66 may move in the axial direction against the shaft 32. The device 10 has the complementary inclined surface 64 on the upper of the saw-blade 48 and chuck 66.
