Title:
SURGICAL STAPLER HAVING ARTICULATION MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2022062090
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a surgical stapler allowing reliable stapling of clamped tissue without complex mechanisms.SOLUTION: A handle assembly 40 for a surgical stapler preferably comprises a rotatable actuation shaft. The actuation shaft has a first rotational orientation state in which the actuation shaft can actuate a jaw assembly in a repeatable open and close mode, a second rotational orientation state in which the actuation shaft can actuate the jaw assembly in a staple firing mode, and a third rotational orientation state in which the actuation shaft can actuate the jaw assembly in a reversing mode. The handle assembly 40 preferably includes an articulation mechanism including a ball screw to selectively articulate the jaw assembly relative to an elongate shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
