The surgical device includes: a body part having a proximal end and a proximal end and specifying a bore in a longitudinal axial direction and an inner wall where the distal end of the body part specifies at least one channel; and a disposable loading unit having a proximal end body portion and a distal tool assembly, wherein the proximal end body portion includes an insertion end that is adapted to be housed in the distal end of the body part, and the insertion end has at least protrusion formed therein, and each of the protrusions is adapted to slidably receive in at least one of the channels.
