To remarkably improve energy efficiency of an entire ship by recovering surplus exhaust energy of a main propelling engine, and significantly improving energy efficiency of an auxiliary engine for power generation.
The surplus exhaust energy recovery system is provided with the main propelling engine 1 having a supercharger 5, the auxiliary engines 10, 18 having power generators 12, 19 and capable of generating power, a first hydraulic pump 21 connected to the supercharger of the main engine, a second hydraulic pump 22 connected to the power generator of the auxiliary engine, and a hydraulic mechanism 20 interposed between the first hydraulic pump and the second hydraulic pump for interlocking the first hydraulic pump and the second hydraulic pump by a hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic pressure generated by the first hydraulic pump assists torque of the power generator by driving the second hydraulic pump at high load of the main propelling engine. The hydraulic pressure generated by the second hydraulic pump assists torque of the supercharger by driving the first hydraulic pump at a start or low load of the main engine.
