To provide a surplus soil selection system capable of efficiently and accurately selecting the surplus soil without splashing dusts or the like to the periphery.
The surplus soil selection system 1 is constituted from a pre-treatment step and a main treatment step provided with a selection device. In the pre-treatment step, regarding the surplus soil thrown to a belt conveyor 3, a magnetic substance is removed by a magnetic separator 4 and a large waste is removed by manual selection in the belt conveyor 10. The surplus soil treated in the pre-treatment step is automatically fed to a separation wire gauze 42 of the selection device by the belt conveyor 18 and is separated/selected to three classes of soil/sand, garbage and residual substance in the selection device. The garbage is conveyed to a garbage accumulation box 32 and the residual substance is conveyed toward the residual substance accumulation box 40 by respective belt conveyors. The surplus soil is automatically accumulated/deposited in each class.
