Abstract:
PURPOSE: To seal an opening and to suppress intrusion of water to a minimum by providing a housing for supporting an electrical terminal block inside and an opening for passing an electrical cable and a protection means for supporting a wall.
CONSTITUTION: A surrounding body has a rear wall 12 and sidewalls 14, 16-22, that project from the rear wall 12 and extend around it and a housing for specifying an inner room 24 for supporting an electrical terminal block inside. The sidewalls 14, 16-22 have a slot (opening) for passing an electrical cable 30 into the inner room 24. Also, it has a protective means 40 that is supported by the side wall 14, 16-22, being adjacent to an opening 32 and a cover 26 that is movably supported by the side wall 14, 16-22 for closing the electrical terminal block. The protective means 40 has a protective wall for surrounding the periphery of the opening 32, and a pair of long and narrow fingers 46 that project inside toward the opening 32 from the protection wall and are bent toward opposite sides to each other. As a result, terminals 46a of the fingers that are bent toward the opposite sides overlap each other and block an opening, thus effectively suppressing the intrusion of water.
