Abstract:
To provide a surveillance device that is capable of high-precision detection of suspicious individuals such as robbers.
The surveillance device includes: an imaging section that captures an image of a predetermined area within which an important object is stored; a human body detecting section that detects a human body moving closer to the important object; and a suspicious individual detecting section that detects presence of a suspicious individual. If a person with his or her face covered is detected around a person whose face has been detected from an image captured by the imaging section when the human body detecting section detected a human body, determination is made that there is a suspicious individual, and an alarm is output.
